Purpose of the AZSTATEGENSOC-L Mailing List

Hello! Welcome to the AZSTATEGENSOC-L Mailing List Home Page. The AZSTATEGENSOC-L Mailing List has been set up for members and friends of the Arizona State Genealogical Society. It is the hope of the club that this mailing list be used for any and all communications regarding genealogy, family history, and computer and Internet questions that relate to genealogy.

Subscribing/Unsubscribing from the List

There are two modes to this list, LIST mode and DIGEST mode. LIST mode will send you a copy of each e-mail as it comes to the server. This can sometimes result in many messages per day coming into your in-box. DIGEST mode saves up several messages and sends them out as a package once a day or less.

LIST Mode Subscription

1. Compose a mail message (from the account to which you want the list mail sent, or is currently receiving the mail if you are unsubscribing) to AZSTATEGENSOC-L-request@rootsweb.com.

2. In the subject of the message you need to have either "subscribe" or "unsubscribe", depending on the action you wish to take.

3. The first line in your message should also have either "subscribe" or "unsubscribe", depending on the action you wish to take.

If all goes well, you will get an e-mail reply notifying you that you have been subscribed/unsubscribed. If you have trouble with this step please send me a message at gkeck@azstarnet.com and I'll try to assist.

DIGEST Mode Subscription

1. Compose a mail message (from the account to which you want the list mail sent, or is currently receiving the mail if you are unsubscribing) to AZSTATEGENSOC-D-request@rootsweb.com.
