Texas Land & Cattle Steakhouse, (972) 705-9700, 812 S Central Expressway, Richardson. Open Sun-Thurs 11am-10pm, Fri-Sat 11am-11pm. I had the 8oz Signature Smoked Sirloin with the Spicy Caesar Salad. I've never had sirloin quite like this, four 2oz 1/8" thin slabs, VERY tender & juicy.  2008.

Red Hot & Blue, (214) 368-7427, 9810 N Central Expressway, Dallas (several other locations nearby). Open Sun-Thu 11am-9pm, Fri-Sat 11am-10pm. BBQ Restaurant, specializing in Pulled Pork and Dry Rubbed Ribs. Appetizer: side salad with parmesan peppercorn dressing. The dressing was tasty, and the lettuce fresh, but both were at room temp. Salads are supposed to be stored cold, aren't they? I had a sampler that included a Pulled Pork sandwich and 2 Dry Rubbed Ribs. The Pulled Pork was piled high, tender & juicy. The Dry Rubbed Ribs were excellent and came off the bone easy. 4 kinds of BBQ sauce available: Sufferin Sweet, Mojo Mild (sweet & sour), Double Trouble Lone Star (mild builds to moderately hot and back down again), and Hoochie Coochie Hot BBQ (think of the hottest buffalo sauce you've tasted). Served with baked beans, not the Ranch Beans so often served at restaurants. Rockabilly ambiance. 2008.
