Charlie Clark's Steak House, (928) 367-4900, 1701 E White Mountain Blvd, Pinetop. Serving lunch & dinner daily. Mesquite-broiled steaks & chicken, Prime Rib and Seafood. Lunch daily 11am-3pm. Dinner Early Bird Menu Sun-Th 4:45pm-6:30pm. Fri night Fish Fry. Best Steak House in the White Mountains, with prices to match the notoriety. $$$ Chuck Wagon Steak House, (928) 368-5800, 4048 Porter Mountain Rd, Lakeside. Co-located with Porter Mountain Stables. Open for dinner 5pm-9pm daily. Prime Rib was excellent. Ribs were not up to "Grandpa's" high standards. Inexpensive for a Steak House. $$ (2007) Eddie's Country Store . (928) 367-2161. 1753 E White Mountain Blvd, Pinetop. Eat in the small dining room or take it out on your White Mountains adventure. Breakfast & Lunch 7am-3pm every day. Breakfast Buffet weekends 7am-11am. Weekend BBQ Fri-Sun. Based on recommendations for their BBQ, we ordered the Beef & Pork BBQ on a Hoagie. The meat was great, we didn't get enough sauce so we got extra on the side. The hoagie, unfortunately, was burnt to a blackened crisp, and detracted from the otherwise good BBQ. $ (2008) El Rancho Restaurant, (928) 367-4557, 1523 E White Mountain Blvd, Pinetop. Mexican Restaurant. Our large party had mixed reviews. Kudos for the shredded beef taco salad, chimichangas, chicken quesadilla, albondigas soup & enchilada. 2 tacos & enchilada plate came with only one taco. Tostadas were cold. $ (2008) Grumpy Jake's BBQ, (928) 532-2266, 5647 White Mountain Blvd, Lakeside. Hon-Dah Indian Pine Restaurant, (800) 929-8744, in the Hon-Dah Resort Casino. Open 6am-10pm daily. Fri night seafood buffet, Sat night prime rib buffet, Sun brunch. Fish (Cod) & Chips were a hit with our large party. The spaghetti & meatballs had plenty of both. Southbank Chicken Caesar Salad was drenched in dressing. With a $7.95 lunch buffet, it hardly made sense to try a sandwich. $$ (2008)
